Community Need
Many individuals and families face barriers to supportive services that are practical, relationship-based, and responsive to trauma, stress, disability, and social isolation. Traditional settings do not always meet the needs of children, veterans, first responders, foster youth, seniors, and families who may benefit from experiential, community-based support. Building Bridges Equine Therapy is designed to help address this gap by offering structured equine-assisted services in a safe, supportive environment where participants can build trust, confidence, emotional regulation, and coping skills. Over time, the organization aims to expand access to restorative services while strengthening partnerships across community, education, health, and wellness sectors.
Target Population
Building Bridges Equine Therapy is intended to serve children, adolescents, adults, veterans, first responders, individuals with disabilities, foster youth, seniors, and families who may benefit from trauma-informed, strengths-based support. Priority outreach may focus on individuals experiencing stress, trauma exposure, grief, anxiety, social isolation, developmental challenges, or limited access to traditional services. The program model is intentionally flexible so services can be tailored to local needs, referral partnerships, participant readiness, and available resources.
